One of the keys with establishing authority within your niche is making yourself heard on other blogs relevant to your niche. It’s one of the best MLM blog secrets you’ll get this year.

This is a mistake many make and who get caught up with their own blogs. You need to understand that if you don’t promote yourself, especially early on, no one else will. One way to do this is simply commenting on other blogs within your niche.

It’s simple; do a search for blogs related to your topic, read the posts and then leave a comment. One way to find other network marketing blogs for example is to go to your Google search box and type in the following:

site: “network marketing blogs”

This will bring up thousands of results and plenty for you to choose from. Once you get a list of results simply go through them and look for articles or pieces of content on their site you are familiar with and feel you can comment on. Don’t just go to the first article you come to. Make sure it’s a topic you feel you can leave a sensible comment on.

The first few pages of Google results will generally throw up blogs with some authority and one way to tell is to look for the blog’s PR Google rank. If you can’t see it, it’s usually displayed on the Google toolbar which you can download by clicking here. Initially look for blogs with page rank of 2 or higher.

Now when you leave a comment, don’t just say things like “great post” or “good advice.” Be informative…add to the author’s solution and make your own suggestions. The beauty of this is you want to impress others reading your comment that you are an authority within this niche and hope they’ll follow the link to your site.

What I like to do is to add my spin on what the author has said. If you disagree with what they say then don’t simply offend the person by just flat out disagreeing with them and instead, be a little diplomatic. Let them know you can see where they are going but you feel that…then leave your solution. If you can learn to not just leave a value-added comment but also get some conversation going then this is excellent because others reading it will look at you as someone knowledge and expertise and they will more than likely follow you back to your blog.

Some comments will automatically be approved but these days, the majority need to be approved by the blog owner. So go and look for other authority blogs – those which are well established and popular and remember,don’t just make a comment for the sake of it. You will do nothing for your credibility.
